This consulting division offers clients highly specialized individual projects that address critical problems, offering customized in-depth solutions designed to maximize performance. Strategic analysis includes creating customer profiles, evaluating brand positioning, assessing merchandise assortments, pricing, style, and quality, customer service, and presentation. Available to retailers, manufacturers, designers, wholesalers, home companies, and consumer product businesses.
 

• Tobe analyzed and critiqued product lines for a Fortune 500 company, creating a five-year plan for product development. This included trend direction in color, fabric, package design.

•Tobe developed a strategy for a long established catalog company to help impact its established customer base and increase sales to new consumers. Tobe’s retail consultants devised new consumer profiles to target, brand names to feature and updated visuals. This catalog business improved dramatically.

•In one Retail Consulting project, Tobe identified three major customer profiles for a major specialty retail chain. This retailer’s business increased exponentially within the first year of implementing Tobe’s recommendations. Five years later Tobé produced a subsequent follow-up project addressing different issues.

•Another fashion consulting project involved the repositioning of an upscale specialty store. Tobe reconfigured floor plans, recommended resource structures, and created lifestyle departments. Tobe’s strategy included the elimination of major vendors to elevate this store’s retail identity.

•Working with a specialty store, Tobe’s expert team analyzed a single department within a store. Floor plans were reconfigured, the apparel mix was re-merchandised and new brands were recommended in order to heighten the appeal of the department.

•For a customized home project, Tobe’s analysts developed a specialized color palette for private label merchandise, to coordinate with store themes in ready-to-wear. This color card was utilized by buyers in the marketplace for matching and application.

•In tandem with a major department store group, Tobe’s retail consultants forecast key items in apparel and accessories on a seasonal basis. A specialized workbook of sketches and colors was developed for their merchants and store line personnel to utilize during market trips and planning strategies. An individualized power point presentation underscored the fashion trends featured in these customized workbooks.
